Upper Limb peripheral course
Lower Limb peripheral course
Peripheral upper & lower limb physiotherapy courses
Manual Concepts’ are leaders in providing Upper Limb and Lower Limb courses that are contemporary and comprehensive in enhancing clinical outcomes.
These in-person courses can be taken separately (5 days each) or together (10 days) for a complete approach to managing peripheral neuromusculoskeletal pain disorder, integrating the joint, muscle/tendon and neural tissue systems.
Manual Concepts offers these courses exclusively in Australia. We also teach these courses in various countries across the globe with our partners.
Upper Limb course
A contemporary approach to managing peripheral upper limb disorders.
This 5 day, in-person peripheral upper limb course offers a comprehensive, evidence-informed program designed to equip clinicians with an integrated and clinically reasoned approach to treating peripheral joint disorders.
Both highly practical and interactive, this course focuses on integrating joint, muscle/tendon, and neural tissue systems to provide a well-rounded strategy for managing peripheral neuromusculoskeletal pain disorders. Grounded in a biopsychosocial framework, the program ensures a holistic approach to musculoskeletal care.
Course highlights
This course is developed using the latest research, with an emphasis on translating evidence into clinical practice. Through hands-on learning, participants will refine their problem-solving and clinical reasoning skills, ultimately enhancing patient management.
A key focus is clinical examination, evaluation, interpretation, differential diagnosis, classification, and treatment. The program emphasises individualised patient management to ensure that treatments—including manual therapy and exercise interventions—are tailored appropriately.
Course objectives
On completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Confidently identify and palpate key anatomical and physiological structures of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and fingers.
- Understand causative factors and pathophysiology of common upper limb pain presentations, and effectively explain these to others.
- Recognise when radiological investigations are required for wrist, hand, and finger conditions, and interpret relevant radiographic findings.
- Perform and interpret clinical diagnostic tests for a variety of upper limb injuries.
- Develop comprehensive management plans for shoulder, elbow, wrist, and finger conditions, from onset to resolution.
- Deliver effective manual therapy and exercise-based treatment for upper limb disorders with confidence.
- Demonstrate proficiency in taping techniques for shoulder, elbow, wrist, and finger injuries.
Lower Limb course
A contemporary approach to managing peripheral lower limb disorders.
This 5 day, in-person peripheral lower limb course offers a comprehensive, evidence-informed program designed to equip clinicians with an integrated and clinically reasoned approach to treating peripheral joint disorders.
The course focuses on integrating joint, muscle/tendon, and neural tissue systems to provide a well-rounded strategy for managing lower limb peripheral neuromusculoskeletal pain disorders. Grounded in a biopsychosocial framework, the program ensures a holistic approach to musculoskeletal care.
